...it's amazing how the make-up altered the shapes of their noses and cheekbone structure...I mean, it's almost like they had some kind of strange surgery done to alter their appearance but that's not possible, is it?

That's called contouring, using a powder slightly darker than the skintone to create a shadow and sculpt the face

Looks like a collection from one of those extreme makeover programs. And a pretty ghastly one, at that. I see a lot of 30-something women there who want to walk around looking like tramps, pop tarts and streetwalkers.
