The man returned a FIM-43 Redeye, which is a portable surface-to-air missile system that uses infrared to track its target. This weapon was reportedly left in his home from the previous owners and is most likely illegal.

Any citizen that surrenders their weapons for some token gift card or nominal amount of money is a fucking idiot. When some ARMED black dudes break into their homes, rape their wives and children and steal all their valuables, they'll realize that they can't depend on the police to help them and they made themselves helpless to defend themselves.

I love how people use Hitler as an example of somebody that took away guns. Stop repeating the new in thing and learn some history. Hitler and his party actually gave the Germans back their gun rights that were stripped of them by the previous party.

At the Seattle buyback private citizens were out bidding the police who were offering $100 for a regular gun and $200 for what they call an assault rifle.
