Kelly-Marie’s strange craving started when she spotted sand in the cage of a pet parrot. The sight sparked her unusual desire to eat sand, which she then began snacking on daily. She also started eating sponges that she combined with the sand filling to make a tasty treat.
Kelly was diagnosed with the eating disorder called Pica that causes people to eat inedible objects while pregnant but eat normally following the birth. Luckily both her children were born healthy despite her odd food habit while pregnant.
