Franz Pfannl is an Austrian designer responsible for creating this 2.7 Grabner Selbstlade Pistol. It can fire a 2.7 x 9mm Kolibri cartridge and is taken to be one of the smallest pistol in the world.
Less than 1,000 of these pistols were manufactured before World War 1 interrupted Pfannl’s sales in 1914.
It’s not recorded what Pfaanl originally sold his guns for, but an exceptional Kolibri sold recently at auction for $3250 while another sold in 2010 for $4K .
