Gavin Munro has devised a method of growing trees into furniture. He takes plant saplings and then manipulates the tree trunks to create the desired shape. This “living furniture” takes around 4 to 8 years to grow and the first batch will be ready for sale in 2017.

nefus, he's sold everything. Only doing commissions which will be available in 2029/2030 so maybe not so much kitsch and more incredibly successful.
