Israel Kamakawiwo'ole was a well-known Hawaiian musician (better known to some fans as IZ) who recorded a cover version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". The story behind this recording is actually quite incredible.

It’s very seldom I like covers better than the original but this is an amazing example. Thank you for the many times it has helped me out of the bottom. Turned things around. For me. I was on the verge of turning 23 today this song turned me around for at least one more day it randomly came on my iTunes. Good timing. Thanks.
