When Christine Weber Bouldin was serving in Afghanistan in 2008, she found a small disabled kitten. The kitty had a non-progressive disease that affects motor skills. Bouldin decided to bring her to the US. She paid a driver $300 to transport Felix to Constable’s pet shelter in Kabul to look after the kitten until she could fly her to the States. “It was a little over an hour to get to our base from Kabul, and you’re always in danger of IEDs… I was worried about her. I didn’t know if I’d see her again if they wouldn’t allow me to bring her home. I’m pretty sure I cried,” Bouldin said.

Everything went well and now Felix lives with her new mommy and daddy in the States and a cat friend Gus.
