Institut Le Rosey is one of the world’s oldest secondary schools. Located in Switzerland, it’s been dubbed the "School of Kings."
Since 1880 and right up to the present day, the school and the castle found on its territory have been owned by a single family.
Le Rosey has 2 programs: a summer one...
...and a winter one.
The winter school offers students private lessons in various winter sports.
The school day begins with a 7 am start, the cleaning of rooms, and breakfast.
Lessons last from 8 am to 3:30 pm. At midday there’s a long break for lunch and hot chocolate.
From 4 pm to 7 pm, all the students can either play sports or engage in creative activities.
At 7:30 pm, the students have dinner, and they do their homework between 8 and 9 pm.
They can do their work in groups in the hall or in the library.
Apart from their studies, the students go on boat rides together, take walks, and get to try rock-climbing.
The school is open to children from all over the world, but there’s one tiny condition: their parents have to pay €100,000 a year for their tuition.
But money’s not the most important thing here. What matters is that all the kids are like one big family that both studies and has fun together.
