But for customers of The Global Harbour Mall in Shangai this torture is not a thing anymore.
The mall has installed so-called “husband pods” where men can play videogames instead of just sitting and doing nothing. Each pod houses a leather recliner, monitor, and computer filled with retro video games, so that men won’t even notice when their special one returns.
“Really great. I’ve just played Tekken 3 and felt like I was back at school!” said one happy customer named Mr. Yang.
