Meet 19-year-old Emma Vowell, a sophomore at Purdue University. She purchased two surprise tickets for her and her then-boyfriend to go skydiving for his birthday, but he decided to dump her the week of his birthday.
Rather than let the tickets go to waste, Emma created a Tinder profile looking for someone to join her on the adventure.
Emma matched with 22-year-old Austin and he messaged her to see if the ticket was still up for grabs. Austin offered to send over a resume to prove he was up to the task.
Emma texted Austin to congratulate him on getting the position of skydive buddy. Since posting her bio on Twitter, Emma has received more than 50 other resumes.
“If she finds a more qualified applicant she can take him,” Austin said. “It’s her ticket.”
Being the amazing girl Emma is she promised not to take anyone else.
The two finally met last week for coffee and have planned to make the jump October 28.
