This compact transformer house is built inside a container and it takes 90 seconds to open into a liveable space.

Built by Leigh Osborne and Graham Voce, this beautiful house is designed within an old water tower in north-west London. The building dates back to 1877 and is 30 meters tall. The architects bought it in 2008 for £ 395,000.

Located in an arts park near Antwerp, Belgium, this bizarrely designed hotel is actually a popular tourist attraction. Shaped like a human gut, the creation is by artist, Joep Van Lieshout and is called, “artwork to live in”. Although it all looks rather odd from the outside, travellers come for the experience of it and a room at the hotel costs £96 pounds a night ($154) and includes breakfast and entry to the sculpture park.

The Melkwegbridge was designed by NEXT architects and can be found in Purmerend, the Netherlands. The bridge has steps leading up and over it and because of its height, it is a tourist attraction as it offers incredible views of the city.

This 12 storey building can be found in Willow, Alaska and locals refer to it as the “Dr. Seuss House” as a result of its interesting design. Although construction first began on the house 10 years ago, the 12 storey building has only recently been finished.

This stunning house is located in Calpe, Spain and was built on the side of a mountain rock, by Fran Silvestre Arquitectos.

This yacht is named “Lady Michelle” and has five state-of-the art cabins to comfortably sleep 12 guests.

Red Bull wanted their Amsterdam offices to capture the true essence of the brand. Sid Lee Architecture was hired to design these new Amsterdam headquarters and chose a former shipping yard as their location. The offices are built inside the shipbuilding factory’s bays and the completed design is both modern and edgy.

This comfy Ralston Avenue residence is located in Mill Valley California. Originally designed by architect, Charles Moore, the mansion has been revamped and expanded and now boasts 5 bedrooms, terraces and open areas for rest and relaxation. The house sold for $4.85 million!

We guess if you are desperate enough, they are worth a try!

“Venus”, the yacht in question, was started in 2009 as a project by Steve Jobs himself and is a luxury craft designed by Philippe Starck in collaboration with Dutch company, Feadship. Steve’s widow, Laurene Powell Jobs, and their 3 children were at the launch of this magnificent vessel in the Netherlands, which has 27 inch iMacs in the wheelhouse to help run the controls.

Clever interior designers transform these discarded items into interesting and useful ‘new’ items of furniture.

This sprawling hillside house, in Paraguay, is cleverly designed to make the most of its unique positioning.

Israeli writer, Edgar Keret, is the first tenant of the narrowest house in the world. Built by Polish architect, Yakubos, the house occupies a thin strip of 1.2 meters located between two buildings in Warsaw, Poland. The house has two levels and all the basic amenities but in these cramped quarters, lodgers need to be sure that they don’t suffer from claustrophobia!

We are not so sure about this “Hello Kitty” themed restaurant in Beijing, China although it’s probably a hit with young (and old) girls alike. What do you think?
