It is no secret that the United Arab Emirates is a rich country, which has more oil than dirt. So this is not surprising that the attitude of the locals to their cars is quite “unique.” There are so many supercars per 1 sq km here, which is unseen in any other place on the planet. Not only they don’t care about “simple” cars as Toyotas or Nissans, but they have this careless attitude also towards cars like Jaguars XJ220, Rolls-Royces, Bentleys or Ferraris.
Check it out.
How can you move a huge electric generator that weighs in about 2 million pounds? It is destined for a clean coal power plant, and one company needed it to be moved from South Carolina to North Carolina without destroying the roads. The decision was found. This generator was loaded on a 300-feet-long trailer that had 36 rows of axles and 288 tires. And it was pulled and pushed by five heavy duty road tractors. This procession looked very unusual, by the way. But you can see it yourself after the jump.
Short people have a lot of problems, including their small stature and difficulties of driving a real car. Most cars don’t allow such people reaching the steering wheel, pedals and accessing gear. They feel like “lilliputs”, but finally, one of the world’s largest car manufacturers paid attention at their problems.
Priced at $135,000-$185,000, MaRussia supercars are the only supercars constructed in Russia. These vehicles have engines that are created by English company Cosworth especially for Marussia Motors, the first Russian manufacturer of the premium class cars. There are two versions of Marussia vehicles. They are Marussia B1 and Marussia B2. These two models differ from each other only in design of a body. Both models get the engines of two types: 3.5L atmospheric engine with 300 horsepower and 2.8L turbo engine with 360-400 horsepower. Marussia can speed up to 250 km/h. Inside this post, you can see the factory where Marussia vehicles are built.
Only in China can you see an old truck, a Porsche, a Rolls Royce Phantom, and a Lamborghini in one wreck. Although it is only a fender bender and apparently no one was hurt, I am sure some egos were dashed. It sure makes you wonder what this does to their already outrageous cost of insurance, except for the old truck of course.
It is a usual story. A guy was driving too fast in his new powerful car and.. crashed it.
Apparently, there were a driver and a passenger in the vehicle. The passenger got out laughing at the entire scene. You must be high or plain stupid to crash your Lamborghini and laugh at it..
Anyways, the driver was just lucky that no one got hurt.
The police SUV has collided with a yellow Chevy Camaro (Bumblebee) at the filming of “Transformer 3”. This scene happened on 3rd Street and Maryland Ave, in Washington D.C., and it wasn’t scripted. The movie was filming a car chase scene when the police cruiser driven by a 25-year-old officer appeared on the Bumblebee’s way. Reportedly he was responding to an emergency assignment nearby. His radio channel was different from the one used by the police officers who secured the perimeter for the movie. The guy was transported to a hospital with minor injuries. The facts of this car crash are being investigated, and filming of “Transformer 3” on DC city streets has been suspended.
Just yesterday we were talking about movie cars and today one of our visitor spotted a real Mutt Cutts van from the Dumb & Dumber movie and sent us the pictures to whom we thank a lot.
