Thanks a lot Tim :) This model airplane of a P-51D Mustang was built by Young C Park, from Honolulu, who is a retired dentist and used some of his instruments to build it. To accomplish this task, he spent 6,000 hours during three years on it. It is built on a 1/16 scale and what is amazing is that every part is fully functional!!! Hats off to the creator!  Anthony Toth, 42, built a replica of a first-class cabin from a Pan Am World Airways 747 in his garage! He has spent more than 20 years on his creation of a Pan Am cabin and he estimates he has spent around $50,000 on the project. I think it’s pretty well done, but I would never spend $50k and 20 years of my life for that…  But not the presidential one. This White House is just a scale-down replica of the presidential mansion. It is located in suburban Atlanta. Its owner, an American-Iranian - Fred Milani, has lived in it for 7 years but he has recently put it on sale for $9.88 million. Take a look.  It just looks amazing! A Swedish guy built it from a 1973 Lincoln Continental. It took him over $1 million USD and 3.5 years to complete, or some 20.000 hours of work. It features a lot of gadgets like satellite navigation, voice recognition, reversing cameras, a DVD player, a plasma TV... Nice work!  KidZania is a Mexican chain of family entertainment centers currently operating in 6 locations. Every KidZania is themed as a child-sized replica of a real city, including buildings, shops and theaters, as well as vehicles and pedestrians moving along its streets. In this city, children, aged 2 through 14, learn about the adult world, the value of money and work, by experiencing up to 70 different professions. Every “professional” activity lasts 30 minutes and parents don’t have the right to interrupt or to interfere in any other manner while their offspring is “working”. It proofed to be so successful that the other Kidzanias appeared throughout the world. Tokyo was the third city to create a replica city for children in October 2006. The first year of operations had 905,000 visitors, and has been keeping steady. So here are pictures from the Japanese KidZania!  |
