This pink colored lake located in Senegal is called Lake Retba or Lac Rose. Its glamour color is due to many minerals and microorganisms in the water. Women in Senegal spend up to 14 hours a day on the banks of this lake to harvest salt. Each liter of water has about 380 grams  of salt.

When the Moon moves between the Sun and the Earth partially covering the Sun you can view a solar eclipse. This is a beautiful rare scene worth seeing. Wonderful pictures of a solar eclipse over Asia and Africa can be found after the jump.
