Have you ever noticed how you open a sugar stick? I did and apparently I do it wrong. If you do it the way I do, you can take a look at this post to see that the initial way is much easier.
I do it this way: I hold a stick by its edge, shake it (to move the sweet powder to one side) and then just tear off its upper tip and pour the contents into a cup.
Actually, you simply need to just break the stick in half and pour the contents into a cup. Like this:
