This is called a “bamboo wife” and it is a type of pillow, made out of bamboo cane. It is used on hot nights when you want to cool down. The holes allow air to flow through and the bamboo is cooler than sheets.
There are several sizes but they all serve the same purpose.
Originally, in Indonesia used them as replacements for their wives, because you can easily wrap your arms and legs around the bamboo structure. However, nowadays it is used for cooling purposes in humid areas of the world.
