Each year in Valencia, Spain the citizens put on a five-day celebration of Saint Joseph that culminates with the burning of the fallas or ninots (puppets). These puppets are constructed throughout the year and then destroyed in a fiery blaze, making for compelling images. Parades worldwide should take their cue from this festival.

People do love their pets, and are willing to pay large amounts of money (as evidenced by the rates here) for their cats to be pampered and cared for while they're off on vacation, or business trips. The cats at this hotel can have a private suite, meals server 'a la cat', and are pampered with a special eco-friendly kitty litter that removes odor in seconds. The damage that was done by the Japanese earthquake and tsunami was absolutely devastating. The number and the size of the ships and boats that were swept ashore was amazing. In the process, many of them crushed homes and other buildings.

Due to Kate Moss’s eye-catching participation in the recent Louis Vuitton Paris fashion show, the fashion world was buzzing about her revealing outfit. She strutted out on the catwalk in leather micro pants and a fur-sleeved top, which let the world know that she is 37 and that perhaps age has caught up with her. In the spirit of fashion, and aging, a picture was taken of four women from 26 to 56 years of age wearing a similar outfit. Can you pick out the older behinds versus the younger ones, and can Moss hold her own against the younger booties?

Considering that the various branches of the military are sent out to protect our national interests, and likely use lethal force, it’s nice to see some lighter fare involving these armed warriors. Some of these scenarios were staged, while others were your average everyday military activities throughout the world. All armies were definitely not created equal.
