For the inhabitants, the unexpected sunshine encouraged some to even strip to their costumes to pose for pictures.
In Krasnoyarsk, in December, the temperatures normally fall to between -23°C (-9.4°F) to -17°C (+1.4°F), often hitting as low as -35°C (-31°F).
