This guy decided not to spend a fortune on an expensive sofa and actually built his own.

"The foam cushions came compressed and had to decompress for a day before I could use it. I played Payday 2 recently, so when these came in, all I could think was "These bags of coke are huge." The 10 yards of microfiber roll is on the bottom."

Looks good for a first time project. He made some beginner mistakes with his choice of wood to stain and his techniques but made a heroic effort. A little moulding and covering that open panel would go a long way. I'd give him an A+ for effort on his newbie project.

...so instead spent a large amount of time building a pretty dreadful-looking sofa. i'm not really seeing the connection.
