Song Bo is a Chinese man who was diagnosed with a serious illness that made him so depressed that he thought he would never have a family. But this changed overnight when he added a daughter to his life.

While Song was on the internet he came across a website called Toabao, which sells lifelike child dolls. Song bought one of the dolls for $2,200 and named her Xiao Die and he now treats her like the daughter he never had.

The website is taobao. It was the Chinese version of ebay. It's owned by alibaba.com the world largest suppliers portal on the internet. Taobao is now so important in China that even malls have their own online shop there. Even amazon sells through taobao in China.

You can get everything online and you can open your own shop online. The service follows western standards. I've spent more money there than I'd like to admit.
