Though the 90s icon no longer rules the charts, Britney Jean has hit the jackpot in Las Vegas. This past fall, Spears signed a two-year, $35 million deal to continue her Planet Hollywood residency. The 34-year-old pop star recently released her 20th fragrance through Elizabeth Arden and a game with Glu Mobile.

The Brazilian supermodel makes money from contracts including lucrative fragrance and beauty deals with Chanel and Carolina Herrera. More than a clotheshorse, her own line of lingerie and skincare help peg her fashion's top-earner. She teams with husband Tom Brady as one of only two couples on the Celeb 100 list (they're in good company: the other is Beyoncé and Jay Z).

The quarterback has racked up eight Pro Bowl selections and a Super Bowl title since he joined the New Orleans Saints in 2006. Brees will make $19.75 million on the field for the 2016 season and millions more on endorsement deals with the likes of Nike, Procter & Gamble, PepsiCo, Wrangler and Microsoft. The Brees Dream Foundation has contributed more than $20 million to charitable causes and academic institutions in New Orleans, San Diego and West Lafayette/Purdue communities.

The Hollywood heartthrob made $31.5 million thanks to roles on and off the big screen. Pitt produced and acted in The Big Short,which won an Oscar and grossed over $133.3 million at the worldwide box office. Pitt also did double-duty for the upcoming War Machine,which Netflix reportedly paid $60 million to acquire. This is the first year since 2007 that the 57-year-old's earnings surpassed $30 million.

Penn & Teller have worked their magic in Las Vegas, where they perform five nights a week in return for a hefty paycheck. The duo took their show on the road in 2015, performing for six weeks on Broadway. The magicians host Fool Us,which has been renewed for a third season by the CW.

One of the latest is Naked Brand Group, which will launch a Wade-branded line of underwear this year. Wade left longtime shoe sponsor Nike in 2012 to ink a deal with China's Li-Ning, earning an equity stake in the company, too.

The Virginia jam band may have not released an album since 2012, but the group continues to make big bucks from touring: more than $25 million playing some 70 shows last year. The show goes on across the U.S. in celebration of DMB's 25th anniversary this year.

The 25-year-old Brit bagged two Grammy wins for his single "Thinking Out Loud" from his studio album x,which has shifted 2.6 million copies since its 2014 release. The singer-songwriter also rakes in millions from co-writing hits such as Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself" and recently started his own aptly named label, Gingerbread Man.

The renewal of his apparel deal with Uniqlo starting in 2016 is worth eight figures annually. Nishikori is poised to be one of the faces of the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

The wide receiver signed a four-year contract extension with the Cincinnati Bengals in September 2015 worth $60 million. The deal included a $15 million signing bonus and $6 million roster bonus paid in March, on top of Green's $11.75 million base salary in 2015. The 2011 first-round draft pick was rewarded for the 4,874 yards he racked up his first four seasons, fourth most by a receiver since the NFL-AFL merger.

After seven seasons playing for Chicago, the Bulls traded Rose to the Knicks in July. Injuries have derailed the career of the former MVP and No. 1 overall draft pick. He has one season left on the five-year, $95 million deal he signed with the Bulls at the end of 2011. Rose is one of the NBA's top earners off the court thanks a 13-year Adidas deal worth up to $185 million.

The run to the Super Bowl earned Manning $4 million in incentive bonuses on top of his $15 million salary. Manning retires with $249 million in career salary/bonuses from the NFL, $400 million in total earnings, including endorsements, and multiple all-time passing records, including passing yards (71,940), passing touchdowns (539) and game-winning drives (56). His legacy is secured as one of the NFL's greatest players as the league's only five-time MVP award winner. Manning has been the NFL's most marketable player over the past decade and the past year was his biggest yet off the field. He'll appear in five national ad campaigns during the 2016 season despite being retired. He cashed in on memorabilia tied to his retirement and Super Bowl appearance. His partners include Nike, Buick, DirecTV, Gatorade, Nationwide and Papa John's. Manning became a Papa John's pizza franchisee in 2012 when he signed a deal to own 32 stores in the Denver area.

With an upfront paycheck for the latest Diesel-powered installment, Furious 8, plus a sequel to Guardians of The Galaxy,"the gravelly-voiced actor joins our list for the third time. A key user of Facebook's "Facebook Live" feature, he has 100 million Facebook fans. "The whole point [of Fast and the Furious] was to diversify Hollywood," Diesel told FORBES in 2015.

The NFL star signed a six-year, $96.6 million contract extension with the Buffalo Bills in September 2015. The deal included a $25 million signing bonus and the most guaranteed money ever, $60 million, for a non-quarterback. Dareus was drafted third overall in 2011 out of the University of Alabama. The defensive tackle made the Pro Bowl for the 2013 and 2014 seasons.

77. Gareth Bale ($36 million)

While injuries limited the Welsh international to just 21 La Liga starts in the 2015/16 season, the soccer star managed to score 19 times, much to the delight of Real Madrid, who paid a whopping $118 million to acquire him in 2013 and is rumored to want to sell him. No matter where Bale goes he's poised to remain a standout fixture for sponsor Adidas, having inked a six-year contract in 2014 worth an estimated $35 million.

75. Fernando Alonso ($36.5 million)

The driver's first year with the McLaren-Honda did not go well as the team struggled to field a competitive car; Alonso finished 17th in the final F1 standings. It was a long fall for someone used to competing at the front of the grid. The Spaniard is well compensated at McLaren, with a three-year deal worth more than $30 million annually. His 32 career wins ranks sixth all-time among F1 drivers.

75. Jason Aldean ($36.5 million)

Musician

The Georgia native's music is a mix of old and new: country twang mixed with rock riffs. The same goes for business--though Aldean makes most of his money on shows, he's looking to the future, last year becoming the only country act with a stake in Jay Z's Tidal.

In April, the soccer star won a Webby Award in the sporting category for his official Neymar Jr. website. The combination of his prowess on the pitch and innovation online helped him land a dozen endorsement deals with brands like Nike, Red Bull, Panasonic, Konami and Gillette. Neymar signed a five-year contract extension in July that ties him to Barcelona through 2021.

The San Diego Chargers' quarterback signed a four-year, $83.25 million contract extension in August 2015; the deal includes a no-trade clause from the only franchise Rivers has ever known as a pro. He was drafted by the New York Giants with the No. 4 pick in the 2004 NFL draft and promptly traded to the Chargers for listmate Eli Manning, the No. 1 overall pick that year.

69. Drake ($38.5 million)

Musician

The Canadian rapper had the best music sales of anyone not named Adele, thanks to new album Views. He juiced his total with live shows and checks from brands including Sprite, Nike and Apple.

American Idolmay have drawn to a close--and with it, Lopez' reported $17.5 million paycheck--but Jenny From The Block has plenty of other ways to get her rocks. Among them: deals with L'Oréal, Endless Jewelry and her own fragrance, as well as an ongoing Vegas residency.

Hot off the success of new album Wilder Mind, the Grammy-winning folk rock band played nearly 100 shows last year in cities from Chicago to Cape Town. The group also gained publicity when its manager launched a petition for tougher U.K. sanctions on ticket resale websites, garnering nearly 45,000 signatures.

The German racecar driver fulfilled a lifelong dream in the fall of 2014 when he inked a three-year deal to drive for Ferrari. The contract is one of the richest in F1 and will pay out more than $40 million annually, including bonuses if Vettel performs. He is one of only four drivers to win at least four titles and his 42 career wins ranks fourth all-time.

Last year's top-earning musician makes this year's Celebrity 100 on the strength of her $204 million Prismatic World Tour's tail end. She banks additional millions from endorsement deals with H&M, Claire's and CoverGirl; Perry even made a cameo in this year's Zoolander sequel. "I'm an entrepreneur," she told FORBES last year. "I don't want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by its balls."

Wilson has become one of the NFL's most marketable players, scoring deals with Microsoft, Nike, Bose and Braun. He launched his own clothing line, Good Man Brand, at Nordstrom in 2016.

Playing an otherworldly 94 gigs during our scoring period, many of them in Las Vegas, the Rocketman blasted onto the Celebrity 100 list for the tenth time. He also earns big from his work as a songwriter and composer for moonshots like The Lion King.

The golfer's on-course earnings fell by nearly $9 million, but McIlroy continues to be a bankable marketing star. Nike, his biggest endorsement deal, pays nearly $20 million annually. He also partners with Omega, Bose and Upper Deck. McIlroy replaced Tiger Woods as the face of Electronic Arts' golf video game last year. He also settled a messy lawsuit last year with former agents who accused him of owing millions of dollars in commissions.

58. Sofia Vergara ($43 million)

While the Colombian actor may be best known for her Emmy-nominated performance as Gloria on Modern Family--a role that earns her millions each year--most of her income comes from lucrative endorsement and licensing deals, including a line of Rooms To Go furniture, a coffee maker and even cheetah-printed nurse uniforms.

It may have been panned by critics, but Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justicegave Affleck the best box office of his career: The movie grossed over $870 million worldwide. The caped crusader earns big from upfront fees and backend profits for the series, helping him pocket his highest annual paycheck yet.

For this comedian, Seinfeld is the gift that keeps on giving: Jerry's namesake show--for which he holds a hefty chunk of the rights--still earns him millions each year in syndication, especially now with a massive new Hulu deal. Yet Seinfeld continues to tour, and his web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, was recently renewed for a ninth season.

54. Floyd Mayweather Jr. ($44 million)

The boxer says he is retired after defeating Andre Berto in September to run his record to 49-0. The world's highest-paid athlete three of the previous four years banked $32 million for the Berto fight to bring his career earnings to $700 million since turning pro in 1996. Money Mayweather earned $12 million outside the ring over the last 12 months through more than a dozen personal appearances during his "World Tour" and profits from his TMT line of merchandise.

54. Tom Brady ($44 million)

The Patriots' quarterback signed a contract extension in March that included a $28 million signing bonus, lowering his 2016 base salary from $9 million to just $1 million in the process. That could save Brady close to $2 million in game checks if his four-game suspension stemming from the "Deflategate" saga is upheld. He also makes plenty off the field, thanks to deals with brands including Under Armour and UGG Boots.

The Seoul-based boyband clocked the biggest year ever for a K-Pop act--and became the first Korean act to land on our Celebrity 100 list, thanks to arena shows in Asia and beyond. One Direction and the Backstreet Boys are the only boybands who've earned more in a single year.

53. Joe Flacco ($44.5 million)

The 2013 Super Bowl MVP broke the bank in the offseason with a new three-year, $66.4 million contract that will keep him with the Baltimore Ravens through 2021. The deal includes a $40 million signing bonus for Flacco ($15 million of the bonus is deferred to March 2017, but FORBES considers it earned during our measured time period). His $22.1 million average salary is the highest in the NFL, topping Aaron Rodgers' previous mark of $22 million.

52. Eli Manning ($45 million)

The two-time Super Bowl winning quarterback signed a four-year, $84 million contract extension in September 2015. The pact includes a $31 million signing bonus and $65 million in guarantees. After the retirement of his brother, Eli's career earnings are the highest among active players: $188 million. His endorsement portfolio includes Nike, Toyota Motor, DirecTV, Gatorade and Dunkin' Donuts.

51. Tiger Woods ($45.5 million)

The 14-time major winner turned 40 in December 2015 and is feeling his mortality on the golf course, playing only 18 events since the start 2014 and making just six cuts. Woods built a fortune on endorsements with the likes of AT&T, Buick, Nike and Gatorade. All of those companies have left him, but Nike remains--and pays him more than $20 million a year. Other current partners include Hero MotoCorp, Kowa, Rolex and Upper Deck.
