Maslenitsa is a Slavic celebration of the end of winter. Maslenitsa is celebrated during the first week of March for 7 days! People bake tons of pancakes that are round, yellow, and hot like the sun, ride horses, and walk in traditional or pagan costumes. At the end of the holiday on Sunday, people say goodbye to Maslenitsa by burning the stuffed figure of winter.

I live in a neighbor country to russia. Never been there, prolly never will. Dont see a reason to explore dirty, poor, rude place when vacation. 30 other countries this far visited.

Russians just stay on their side and i am keeping it here, fair deal.

There is great and vast beauty in Russia that is rarely portrayed by the media. As a polite American visitor I found the people there to be amazingly upbeat, kind and resilient. They have my utmost respect. I wish them well.
