You forgot to mention the 50% you pay in income tax.
Problem with the US is taxpayer funded healthcare (nothing is free) is given to people who can but refuse to work, and people who came here illegally. That's only part of the problem. No PC here just facts most don't want to hear.
In Hungary, all medical care is free, if you pay the tax.

Also the amount of the bill is extremly high. Healthcare in the US is much more expensive than in other countries with comparable (or even better) service.
One reason is the very high costs for "legal protection" because the extrem costs of legal cases and lawyers
Norway hospitals aren't for profit company's that want to make tons of money. resulting in lower prices.
