I'm sure he thought about it a lot more than you thought about your response. If you are ESL, try running your statements through a translator so people can make sense of your posts.
I do agree about the secondary escape route, not in case of your dumb american zombie apocalypse scenario, but in case of external flood (dunno if it's so ermetic) or floor fires (it's a luxury building, may have the doors to keep fire contained, but if it happens on a floor up yours is a problem).
