"I know it’s kinda tacky, and some would say a “tourist trap”, but I’ve spent many a holiday vacations in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, tucked in the beautiful Smokey Mountain region. Once you get there almost everything is within walkable distance and I love how charming the lil town vibe is. Great hiking trails too. I always leave feeling rejuvinated."

"The Netherlands."

"Turks and Caicos."

"Somewhere away from people."

It has to be a warm place. The only problem is, all the warm places we enjoy are now tourist traps. We are old and remember when they were just lovely places to vacation.

I spent 10 years living in #17 & that does qualify as being pretty far away from people. Also extremely cold and dry. I like #18. Italy offers so many different types of natural beauty and plenty of urban areas and history I could happily enjoy that for years and never get bored.

#11. I'm always puzzled by people who are so proudly anti-American. They talk about it all the time, as if they are somehow superior. What a weird way to go through life.
