I did college in the 80's. Personal computers were only for the "rich kids" at over $4,000 US. That's equivalent to about $9,000 US today.
And the memory is amazing. A typical USB thumb drive has way more storage than the old HDD's. And I remember when USB was just a potential communications port.

Hmm, they do start at 0. The first 'complete year' is year 1, not year 0. The 10th complete year is year 10 and the end of the first decade. The complete 100th year is the end of the century. The new century starts at the beginning of year 101. the easiest way to understand it is to get a piece of paper and write down 100 dots or any other symbol you like. That's your first century. Your second century will start at your 101st symbol.
