Seems that you strawman arguement, the Aztecs by all accounts were really horrible. But show me a historical account of anything that the Aztecs did where they made a better world. And I'll show you many Christians who did.
Since you brought up religion, let me point out that Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, and Mao Zadong were avowed and public Atheists and made their governments officially atheist too. It is, of course, indisputable that they caused incredible violence and death to millions upon millions so that they the crimes are more like dry statistics now. Check your bias at the door!
