"That pretty much every machine requires maintenance. Think dishwashers, washing machines, cars, mowers, etc.

They aren’t magic boxes. And they will last longer if you know how to maintain them.

My mother-in-law is in her 80s, and until recently didn’t know that the dishwasher needs its filters cleaned every so often."

"How to spot an obvious scam.

Look how many people fall for those clickbait articles and chain posts and propaganda and stuff."

"Tax brackets. You only pay the higher rate on the portion above the threshold amount."

"Ctrl + c, Ctrl + v"

"Evidence-based reasoning and what evidence means."

"DON’T BOTHER WILD ANIMALS.

I’m sure it’s just natural selection at this point, but the amount of stupid people I see walking up to wild creatures for video footage is irritating, tbh."

"Sit properly in any vehicle.

Leg injuries are no joke, and you can even dislocate / break your legs easily in a car crash because your legs were on the dashboard."

"How to swim."'

"Women don’t pee through their vagina."

"The difference between there, their, and they’re."

"Cooking."

"Ponies are small horses, not baby horses."

"Financial literacy.

It is so so important, but a lot of people just don’t know sh#t."

"Like stupid basic things about their car and what to do in emergencies / controlling said car."

"There’s a long handle on the side behind your steering wheel that when you flick it up or down, it turns an orange flashing light on that tells other drivers around you which way you’re going to be turning."

"How to perform CPR."

"It’s highly unproductive to film, laugh at, yell at, or similarly engage with people currently having a mental breakdown."

"We are responsible for our actions and their consequences."

"Basic arithmetic.

I’m not saying everyone needs to know how to multiply 3-digit numbers in their head on command, but a surprising amount of people just give up when you ask them to add 2-digit numbers together."

"That social media isn’t real life."'

#4 A theory is still a theory, but in the science community it's backed by facts and repeatedly corroborated, though not yet proven irrefutably. In the general sense, it's more of a random thought or idea not yet put to test.

#6 Biggest scam today: CO2 causes catastrophic global warming.

The correlation between CO2 and temperature is very weak over long periods of time. And when there is a correlation, CO2 increase comes AFTER temperature increase.

Midge,

That's pretty much what I said. No correlation between CO2 and temperature. However, during certain periods of time, CO2 increases do follow increases in temperature. This makes sense since warmer land & water hold less CO2 so it comes out into the atmosphere. Just like a bottle of soda warming up.

Gertrude,

Still spreading fake news and lies I see...
Anyone can find the truth. Just don't look for it on Infowars, in conspiracy YouTube vids, and the like like these two and you'll find it.

Deborah,

No. I read both sides of the science and draw my own conclusions. There is NO evidence that human activity is driving global temperature. The only "evidence" provided are climate models - which have been wrong on just about every prediction. The main driver of temperature is water vapor (clouds). This is too complex to model, so the models fail.

Wilson,

Yes, the scientific process is always trying to falsify the existing hypotheses. That's how real science works.

Don't speak of things you don't understand. And insults are not a valid counterpoint.
