A big giant TV that weighed 300 pounds:

A room in the house with walls exactly like this:

A jar full of candy completely stuck together that no one had any idea how old it was:

A phone you'd have to come barreling down the stairs to answer in time:

Izismile Videos

This type of furniture in a room that probably smelled a bit like cigarette smoke:

One of these chairs that always seemed to get stickier the hotter it got outside:

A kitchen with this kind of floor:

A list of phone numbers on a sheet of paper tucked away in some drawer:

This exact carpet:

A big ol' ball of needles:

That you'd have to set the TV to channel 3 to watch movies:

One of these in the bathroom:

A container that could only be opened with a knife or a spoon:

These things that could class up any dish served on a paper plate:

One of these things that was probably not filled with what it was originally intended to be filled with:

What do you mean "Used to"? I still have about half of these- and they all work.

BTW, #34 isn't a grill.

Philetus,
No, it's an electric frying pan with such a great temperature controller that you can braise an otherwise too-tough-to-eat beef shank in consommé in about 3.5 hours with the surface of the liquid never doing much more than trembling.

#38 Yep. Jacks make stepping barefoot on Lego's seem pleasant by comparison. Hell...much larger versions of jacks lined the beaches of Normandy in June of 1944. I think Satan holds the patent on them, as is my understanding.

Most of these things are much older than 30 years, would say 1980s or 70s...

Roy,

That's the modern version - the original 35mm film cans were aluminum, with screw-on lids.

And speaking of lids....

#9 I still have this blender sitting on my kitchen counter, and it still works fine.

#12 Still have this, too, although I now also have one with a removable crock.

#27. This too, and I use it at least once a month.

Jeez...I have a lot of this stuff. I guess I'm officially old.
