Now who's rationalizing? The point being made is that evil people will do evil things. The gun did not make the shooter kill people. Absent a gun, there would be a different problem. Specific to the UK, yes, there are no school shootings now but there are school stabbings. Because evil people do evil things.

Just because more destructive weapons have killed more people at once (f@#king duh, by the way) DOES NOT discount the amount of people who have been killed in mass shootings in America. Those may have been the largest single incidents, but guns have killed WAY MORE innocent people in total.
What Tave said is true. It happens so often now that people have begun to see it as just another news story. Those people's lives have been utterly destroyed by how easy it is for anyone to get a gun. How many more people have to die to gun nuts to stop being so blind, deluded and selfish?
