“The 2010s Planet of the Apes movies were pretty damn good.”
“I enjoyed the remake of True Grit. Can’t say it was better, but I definitely liked it.”
“The 90s Addams family movies“
“Battlestar Galactica from the 2000s”
“Futurama, and then Futurama.”
“John Carpenter’s The Thing completely outshines the 1951 film. “
“101 Dalmatians 1996, Glenn close was awesome”
“Dune!!!
The old movie was weirdly both pretty good and kind of terrible. And disgusting for no good reason. The new one is just good.”
“The parent trap.”
“Dredd (2012) was infinitely better than the Judge Dredd Stallone movie from the 90s.”
“The Mummy. The Brendan Fraser one, not the Tom Cruise one.”
“Westworld”
“IT Chapter 1 & 2”
“Doctor Who
Technically it was a continuation of the old series, but they started relatively fresh and slowly introduced bits from the old series as it went along, so new watchers could get into it without having to be overwhelmed by 40 years of show history.”
“Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
I still enjoy the original for some of its darker moments and quirkiness, but Brotherhood sticks to the script and nails it. It’s superior in almost every way.”
“Hannibal, 2013-2015 TV series. More of a reinterpretation but wonderfully twisted.”
“I was pleasantly surprised by the Jumanji reboot”
“Dark Knight Trilogy”
“21 Jump Street”
no.
1951 is a very good movie
carpenters version is a masterpiece
the prequel is pretty decent too
#13 It shouldn’t have been a made for tv movie. Now that it’s ok to divide a book into 14 different movies, it played better. They still avoided the one thing that makes it a very creepy book by a very creepy writer.
#17 Me too.
#19 Totally different. The show was dramatic while the movie was comedy action. Apples and oranges.
#1 I could never get into it. It’s such a stupid premise. Just like Transformers.
