well, I think the original car was pretty nice. What I don't get is why you wouldn't resore it to its original (factory) condition and "pimp" it instead like this.

Incorrect. The proper reply to "The shower door in my hotel has a random hole in the middle" is, in fact, "So does yo mama."
The hole is normally closer to the wall near the controls, so that water from the shower head does not hit it.
