my diabetes doctor took over and my medications started taking me off what other doctors prescribed and put me on a "Tirzepatide" for weight loss.
I got to the point where I was ready to start exercising and started slow but I threw out my right shoulder. I know once this passes i'll be ready to start again, I'm still 100% more active than I was a year ago, I eat no more than once or twice a day, last night I had 2 air fried drum sticks a baked potato and broccoli.
Congratulations! It's tougher to keep weight off when you get older as your metabolic rate of burning calories is greatly diminished. At this point, patience and avoiding 'falling off the wagon' with food is key. Long walks and long slow bike rides are excellent for burning fat. But, the big key is 'regularity' and 'routine.' try not to skip workouts unless you're still sore from a previous one, and knowing to discern muscle soreness (which is good) from ligament and tendon pain and swelling (which isn't). Keep up the good work!
Sincerely,
57 year old former pro athlete.
