In a mission called “The Redbull Stratos”, former Austrian military parachutist, Felix Baumgartner, dives from a balloon-lifted capsule 24 miles up in an attempt to break the sound barrier. It has a very controversial history due to its poor treatment of patients and many reports of physical and sexual abuse of the people in their care. It was finally closed in 1992 once it became the target of a series of lawsuits.
