The adepts of DIY never lack imagination, creativity and skills. As far as I’m concerned, they never fail to surprise me with their ingenuity.

The picture below will explain you 10 common misconceptions we take for granted.
A few ones really surprised me..
After surviving a diabetic stroke, Peter Ajello decided to lose weight, as his doctors clearly explained to the man that there wouldn’t be a next time. He weighed 450 pounds, could barely walk around the block, was wearing a 5XL T-shirt and 56-sized pants. But in just 6 months he lost 157 pounds on a TRU Chocolates diet. Of course, he spent much time in the gym, combining proper nutrition, exercise and determination, and had a 15,000 dollar bet with his friends who couldn’t believe that Peter would reject pizzas, donuts and chicken wings. He survived the test, and you can now see his unbelievable results after the jump.
Inside this post you can see the world’s first flying ornithopter. If you want to see how this “Snowbird” thing works, watch the video.
Some cities, villages and fields become fantastically beautiful when you look at them from a bird’s eye view. On these photographs they turn into amazing landscape patterns.
All these incredible handworks aren’t some pie-in-the-sky concept. These are awesome steampunk artworks designed and created by Ivan Mavrovic. I am deeply impressed with his works that are something worth seeing and even possessing!

These photos come from our visitor Maxwell Giacommo.
To explain you more about them, here’s what he wrote:
"Today, I achieved something I have wanted to do for a considerable length of time. A plane crossing the moon."
This little girl and the dog seem to be the best of friends. At least that is the way they are greeting one another. It’s always cute to see such pictures.
These people are just plain weird. Regardless if it is the makeup, costumes, or what they are doing, they are really strange but really funny. There doesn’t seem to be any special event going on. These people are just being themselves, which sometimes isn’t the best choice.
As usually, if you want to see the picture in a bigger size, just click it to enlarge.

All of the Japanese concept cars of the past 50 years are shown here. Back in the days of yester years, there were some pretty radical ideas but nothing as radical as they are today. It’s too bad some of these concept cars never seem to make it to the streets.

This apartment is a geometric wonder. The designer Sou Fujimoto created one of the most unusual apartment buildings in the world. It is located in Tokyo and is composed of 5 distinct units with independent rooms which are all linked by stairs.
These fold out business cards are the invention of a guy by the name of Sam Buxton. They are made from a flat piece of stainless steel and wind up as in three dimensions. They are absolutely amazing.
