After the devastating earthquake and tsunami, which followed afterwards, a huge blast was observed at the Fukushima-Daiichi atomic power plant that caused the radiation leak.
After the earthquake hit Japan, in several of the reactors at the two Fukushima plants the cooling systems failed and “without cooling, the temperature in the reactor core builds, with the risk that it could melt through its container into the building housing the system.” It also causes pressure in the containers where the reactor is situated.
The Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan declared that the amount of radiation released was "tiny." We sure hope so… but could this be another Chernobyl??

From promises of better productivity to making us think it was sexy to have a computer, the advertisers pimped out Leonardo DaVinci and Dom Delouise to hawk their wares.
Kilauea volcano in Hawaii has recently erupted sending fountains of lava spewing into the air.
The volcano has been erupting since 1983 repeatedly and this time it was quite a show.
These are photos of “the greatest” otherwise known as Muhammad Ali back in his heyday. The outspoken young man from Louisville, Kentucky went on to become a three-time world champion.
These are some vintage exercise machines. Like everything else in the old days, not much was known about exercising and how to get into shape. Consequently some of the machines were quite outlandish and very funny.
These are some absolutely amazing photos of atmospheric conditions when it is raining. They were taken by photographer Kris Dutson, known as “the rain man”. He has spent years traveling around Britain locating the perfect shots.
