The CH-47 Chinook helicopter is made by Boeing and has a top speed of 196 mph which was the fastest than any other attack helicopters during the 1960’s. It is one of the few aircraft of that era that is still in production and front line service with over 1,179 built to date. Today it is powered by two 4,733hp Honeywell engines and has a top speed of 200 mph.

The project is named “No life Ahmedabad last night”, as at night the city is quiet and empty although during the daytime it’s crowded and noisy. It took the photographer between 5 and 10 minutes of exposure to get an image.
In the Tibetan Gaden Shartse Monastery that is located in India, four of the seven Tibetan Monks make traditional sand paintings at the Cozmic Cafe in Placerville that are known as a sand mandala. The Monks raise money to educate local about the Tibetan and Buddhist cultures and for their monastery. The sand paintings are very beautiful and look like they are very tedious to make.
All these people seem to be so happy when smiling for their booking photograph. I wonder why.

This post is some photos of what appear to be ghosts in Amsterdam. Historical consultant, Jo Teeuwisse located some negatives of World War II photos of Amsterdam at a flea market and then merged them with some more recent shots that she took. It was her way to honor those who came before us.
Jo was inspired by pictures of Sergey Larenkov who used this technique to superimpose old pictures of the Siege of Leningrad during the WW II with the recent pictures he took of the same places where the siege took place.
