These are some behind the scenes photos from Star Trek. They are proof positive that the characters in the popular series and new movie are real people just like you and me. It does show that there is a tremendous amount of work that goes into making the show.

When people have some craft skills, they can accomplish wonderful things with their own hands. This is another example of a computer modder who has such skills. Just look what he did with this beer keg. This case mod is just awesome.

These are some amazing photos that were taken with a cell phone. Many of the photos are difficult to tell from a painting. Apparently, the technology behind the cell phone camera has approved considerably and some of them have application that will allow you to edit and improve the photo.  

Few suspect that in central London in Hyde Park hides pet cemetery in the shade of trees. It is very old. Wealthy Londoners began to bury their pets there back in the Victorian era, in 1880s and by 1915 it had already been filled. This corner of the park is fenced and closed to visitors.

This family found a unique way that can help to attract more internet users to view their party pictures. They just manipulated their photographs and used their imagination and creativity in adding the “right guests”.

Until today I had never heard of Little Big Planet, but after going through some statistics I found out that it has the most player levels designed by real human beings. There are over 1 million different levels. These are not created by AI (artificial intelligence) these are created by real design developers.

The Kids Who Could Fly is an ad campaign to promote Maximum Ride books which talk about group of children who can fly. The author of these books is the award-winning American writer James Patterson. This is one catchy and smart ad, it makes me think that sometimes ads are worth looking at.

These comic stories are so funny describing how cats really treat their human masters and other pets. Cats are not dogs, that’s for sure!

The Oprah’s Favorite Things TV episode is the most watched episode each year of The Oprah Winfrey Show. This year the costs per person reached over $10,000. No wonder, people jumped up and down when heard that they won expensive gifts. Their reaction is predictable, but these photographs and video are still rather impressive.

These are some interesting observations that can tell you who is more humanize: a human or an animal. Animals can really teach us how to be people.

A lion never uses his strength to humiliate another

Meet Frederika, a 91-year-old grandma from Hungary. She is photographed by Sacha Goldberger. This grandma has quite a back story. She was born in Budapest, 20 years before World War II. During the war she saved the lives of ten people. This all started by the photographer in order to cheer up Frederika as she was sad and depressed and wanted to just have some fun. After this photoshoot started, Frederika aka “Mamika” couldn’t stop smiling. The series has lots of success through out the internet and now Mamika has a lot of friends on her MySpace page.

These photos are from National Geographic’s Photograph Contest 2010. The images are in three different categories including nature, places, and people. It took eight weeks for the judges to select these winners.

Here’s a bunch of pictures made by Edward S. Curtis in 1906. The whole set of 1,500 photographs released in 20 volumes can be found in the book entitled "The North American Indian.” Curtis' goal was not just to photograph, but to document, as much American Indian traditional life as possible before that way of life disappeared. Curtis got $75,000 for his work from J.P.Morgan.

Meet Viktor Bout, otherwise known as the "Merchant of Death." He was arrested in Thailand on conspiracy to kill US officers or employees and conspiring to acquire and use an anti aircraft missile charges in 2008. While awaiting extradition to the US to stand trial, he lost 60 lbs, in a Bangkok jail.
