Someone has way too much money in their hands and to much time. The tree which is estimated to value $11 million dollars has gold, diamond, and sapphire studs. It stands 43 feet tall and is found at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

Welcome to the 9 Hours Hotel where you can spend the night sleeping in one of 125 small little capsules called hubs that are only large enough for a person to lie down in for $80. They are quite popular in Japan for commuters who have a need to stay in town overnight. This one is located in Kyoto.

If you think that cardboard record players have now become souvenirs from the past, you are wrong. Yes, it was back in the late 60’s and early 70’s when cardtalkplays were popular record players sold or given out as a promotion to different people. But now this tradition is back to life thanks to a mail promotion campaign held by GGRP Vancouver Company in 2010. This sound design company mails a record in a cardboard sleeve that you can unpack and turn into human-powered record player. Watch photos and video for more instructions and play the music.

This is an abandoned prison that is located in Perm County, Russia. It was abandoned in 2005. It is very spooky looking and there have to be ghosts walking around what’s left of the halls and in the cells.

Yes, this dessert with its multitude of shipwrecks used to be the Aral Sea, full of aquatic animals and ships taking cargos to different destinations. The Soviet Union began to use the waters in irrigation projects until it was all gone, leaving just the blowing sands and shipwrecks.
