How old does Ruth Flowers, the oldest DJ in the world, look to you? Before you take a guess, I’ll tell you that she is from England though she often performs in Europe. Masai warriors, riot policemen, amateur artists and different tribes live in Kenya nowadays. Inside this post you can find spectacular photos of wild nature and “modern” African settlements. Kenya has faced many different situations: conflicts, financial and economic problems, etc. This most developed African country has an interesting history, and these photos describe it in the brightest colors.

Ethnic stereotypes that were used in first Tom & Jerry cartoons were cut out in 1950s. Blackfaces, impressions of Chinese and Red Indians became the victims of political correctness and were removed. Many scenes had to be redrawn in 10 years. Mammy maid was turned into a white person. Lillian Randolph’s voice was replaced by another voice actress June Foray. However since movie stores kept pictures and sound reels separately, the voice sometimes didn’t match up the correct Tom & Jerry version and white maid spoke with Mammy’s voice.

There is such a rare and terrible disease Progeria - premature aging at an early age.

One gene mutates and affects the whole organism. Those born with progeria typically live about thirteen years, although many have been known to live into their late teens and early twenties and rare individuals may even reach their forties.

The disorder has a very low incidence and occurs in one per eight million live births.
