A large number of ancient African tribes are still living in the Omo Valley region of Southern Ethiopia. Those tribes have been living near the Omo river for centuries.
They have some strange traditions, outfits, makeup…etc. Their way of life is very special and I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t like to live in the conditions they’re living in.
Take a look at those beautiful pictures inside the post.
Although the experiment was quite dangerous (the train could go off the rails), but the pictures turned out to be very good.
Various objects (bottles, apples, stones) were put on the rails just before a train passes at a high speed smashing them and turning those objects into dust. High-speed photography was used to make these great shots.
There’s only one thing that keeps me wondering, why these people don’t like their skin but like to disfigure themselves so bad?
Competition for blowing water out from a teapot is not the most stupid of the contests existing now.
But in any case, it would take the first place on the list of the most pointless competitions ))
Twitter is so popular nowadays that there are even comics about it.
The one, that you will see after the jump, was created by Tony Gigov.
Thanks Tony :)
Rather than knitting clothes, some people prefer to make knitted masks!
So, this is a selection of some weird knitted masks.
Here is a photo journal of 2 guys who went to work in Alaska as fishermen. It was a tough job and they did not make a lot of money but they said it was a great adventure to experience.
Take a look at the pictures to see what it’s like to be an Alaskan fisherman.
Here are some incredible black and white pictures of New York in its golden age – 1940’s.
Nightlife, music, energy, arts – all this mix is shown in pictures of the city that never sleeps!
Here is another small selection of vegetables, which have a non-standard form ;)
And don’t forget about the first part, which can be viewed HERE.
Netherlands are a very interesting country. They make plenty of bizarre creative stuff like for example this ‘Trash Temple.’ The temple is situated in an old neighborhood in the Rotterdam port area. It is 7m high, 25m long and 10m wide. Temple of Trash was built with 100 tons of pressed bales of PET bottles.
I’d like to see it one day!
Paul, the owner of this miracle on wheels, made it specially to go to the Burning Man festival in Nevada.
It’s true that it is more comfortable to live in your own little “house” than in a tent.
Everything in this house works on solar energy - the stove and water heating.
Unfortunately, there was no place to squeeze a toilet in there but there is a urinal on one of the walls outside.
Some lucky pilots see such a great view while flying, and we, ‘mere mortals’ only in photos.
This picture has so impressed me that I decided to make a separate post with this one photo, such a beauty.
You can easily hang it on your desktop as wallpaper and enjoy it every day. The picture is clickable inside the post.
I think that such a gift would leave any girl speechless. Take a look inside the post.
Remember in 2007, during the 7th of July, lots of people got married because of the symbolic 777 formed by the date, well, lots of people got married too for the 09-09-09 (999). But here, there are even more ‘9’ in the story: 9 couples got married in a 99 Cents Only Store (Hollywood), in the Aisle 9. The first couple got married at 8:09 a.m. The costs of each wedding: 99 cents.
That’s quite unusual, that’s original, but that’s not what I would qualify as a good idea and that’s definitely not something I would have done…
That's how the Chinese military pilots are preparing for the parade in honor of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
Not bad, huh? :)
Interesting images and mathematics put up together that give us a notion of what it would be like if it was possible to print the internet. To be honest, I can’t imagine it in my mind, it’s like to imagine the endless universe. You just keep on imagining, imagining till you get old ;))
His wife left him and filed for divorce, except that she prohibited her ex-husband seeing his four-year old daughter.
He did not find anything better than to take his little girl and go jump off a bridge.
After two hours of negotiations the rescuers managed to take them from the bridge, though it was done with difficulty.
As they say, all’s well when all ends well. But the number of such suicidal attempts in China is frightening.
