Kayla Buckmaster has graduated from high school and that’s when she received a present from her grandmother who passed away when Kayla was only 4 years old.
In June 2013, heavy rains led to a flood in the Canadian province of Alberta and one of the hardest-hit areas was the town of High River, a suburb of Calgary. In Beachwood Estates, a High River neighborhood, where mostly million-dollar houses were situated, floodwaters forced the inhabitants to leave their properties, and never come back. These spine-chilling abandoned mansions were demolished in early 2017.
Shannon Satonori Lytle never had much money, but he had a dream. He was mocked that he will never be able to attend any good college, flipped burgers at McDonald’s and took care of his three baby siblings while studying and working hard. But nothing was able to stop him on his way to his dream.
Most of them were made and used in the year of the Second World War, and now they were found in possession of a 66-year-old resident of the city of Dedovsk, Russia.
To create such a house it takes only about 2 hours of time, but they are able to stand for more than 300 years after that!
That’s what Tateh Lehbib Breica, 27, does, building houses out of simple plastic bottles filled with sand in Algeria. The bottles are cemented together and are much more fitting to withstand the severe heat of the region than almost any other material.
