The latest hobby of many fashion designers is to ask plus-sized models to introduce their clothes at a fashion show. This time Paris Fashion Week’s guests were surprised to see Beth Ditto appearing at the catwalk in tight dresses and costumes created by grand couturier Jean Paul Gaultier. Unlike the usual 'plus-sized models' - who are size 14 or 16 - Beth is around a size 28.
According to Gaultier, Paris Fashion Week 2010 demonstrates the contrast difference between the worlds of XXL and XXS.

People are not the only ones who are moving. Their houses sometimes also have to move from one location to the other together with their owners, and this scene is always very spectacular.
These photographs show an art exhibition in China. I just can’t imagine how it is possible to learn new art in such a crowd!
These are indeed some unique business cards which are also very clever. Some can be used as tools, some are perforated so they can be torn in half, and some don’t even look like business cards. But they are all effective.
This private North Island in the Seychelles is a real Paradise on Earth. It is perfect for vacation as it has spectacular nature, white-sand beaches with crystal clear water, beautiful flora and fauna. Eleven luxurious cottages are scattered around this island where you get the feeling of being both in complete isolation from everything and everyone and secured. You are so close to nature that you forget about everything else during your vacation.
Still this fantastic island has one little nuance.
These photos are from the World Championship of Sand Sculpting that took place from September 8 to October 3 in Federal Way, Wash..
Although these paintings look like photos, they’re not. Artist Gregory Thielker did a great job in making them look very realistic to the point that you will have a difficult time believing that they are actually paintings.

The adepts of DIY never lack imagination, creativity and skills. As far as I’m concerned, they never fail to surprise me with their ingenuity.

The picture below will explain you 10 common misconceptions we take for granted.
A few ones really surprised me..
After surviving a diabetic stroke, Peter Ajello decided to lose weight, as his doctors clearly explained to the man that there wouldn’t be a next time. He weighed 450 pounds, could barely walk around the block, was wearing a 5XL T-shirt and 56-sized pants. But in just 6 months he lost 157 pounds on a TRU Chocolates diet. Of course, he spent much time in the gym, combining proper nutrition, exercise and determination, and had a 15,000 dollar bet with his friends who couldn’t believe that Peter would reject pizzas, donuts and chicken wings. He survived the test, and you can now see his unbelievable results after the jump.
Inside this post you can see the world’s first flying ornithopter. If you want to see how this “Snowbird” thing works, watch the video.
Some cities, villages and fields become fantastically beautiful when you look at them from a bird’s eye view. On these photographs they turn into amazing landscape patterns.
All these incredible handworks aren’t some pie-in-the-sky concept. These are awesome steampunk artworks designed and created by Ivan Mavrovic. I am deeply impressed with his works that are something worth seeing and even possessing!
These photos come from our visitor Maxwell Giacommo.
To explain you more about them, here’s what he wrote:
"Today, I achieved something I have wanted to do for a considerable length of time. A plane crossing the moon."

This little girl and the dog seem to be the best of friends. At least that is the way they are greeting one another. It’s always cute to see such pictures.
