He did it all alone with no motor or sail. It’s a bit long but it’s totally worth it.

These ocean creatures are very creepy and more terrifying than sharks. They are deadly, incredibly large, and they all are very scary.
Giant Halibut
These are some incredible black and white photos of the ocean and land. They were taken by photographer Hengki Koentjoro. In a beautiful and dramatic way, they illustrate the stark contrast between the two.
Accidents on the waters are more frequent than one would think and this huge gallery proves it well.
Indeed, lots of different boats wreck each year all over the world, and container ships are no exception!
The reasons for the accidents here are varied, but in all cases the photos are impressive.
Do you remember the post about the deepest part of the Earth? Now, this infographic picture will show the data from the tallest mountain to the deepest ocean trench. If all schoolbooks were written in infographic pictures, it would be much interesting and easier to study :)
After the little kitten hidden in a police car bumper, this time it is a baby seal that was stuck under a police car in Ocean Beach, California. He got out from the ocean, crawled for 50-60 yards on the grass area and got on the road. The police car that was passing by, stopped in the middle of the road so that any car couldn’t run the baby seal over. When the police car stopped, the animal got under it and had a nap for almost 4 hours.
Then the ‘Sea World Marine Animal Rescue’ team was called, they took out the baby seal and took him into the Sea World for 4-6 weeks until he gains a normal weight and force. Then they will free him into the wild.
Another “animal” happy ending :)))
The Mariana trench is the deepest part of the ocean that we know of. As the picture shows, the deepest part is approximately 36,000 feet deep and is known as the Challenger Deep. Very impressive
A Floating Instrument Platform (FLIP) ship is a floating instrument platform and manned research vessel that is 355 feet long. The FLIP has been widely used to study the acoustics of whales and other marine mammals, the effects of seismic waves on the water, and heat exchange between the atmosphere and the ocean. It works by being towed out to sea and having one end submerged. The instruments and crew are located in a portion of the ship that remains above the surface of the ocean. This giant ship is most impressive.
Here is a compilation of those steel monsters of the seas. You will see submarines on the surface of the water, in the port or being constructed… and other interesting pics.
Look at the selection after the jump.

Scotoplanes are a genus of deep-sea holothurians (sea cucumbers) commonly called Sea Pigs, Sea Pork, or Sea Swine. They live on or just underneath the surface of the bottom of the ocean, on the abyssal plain.
Some ugly creatures are also hidden in the very deep areas of the oceans.
Look at more pics of this weird creature inside the post.
Another story about the rescue of a seal who miraculously escaped a hungry killer whale.
See how ended this attempt to have lunch.
The happy ending is guaranteed))
Two groups of African penguins were released into the ocean. They were contaminated in an oil spill near the coast of Namibia on April 8. After they were treated, the Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds released them into the wild. The first group of 84 penguins was released on May 21, and the second one of 38 birds – five days later.
But I had the impression that they weren’t so willing to go there by themselves ))
Of the sea, amazingly fantastic creatures live in the profound depths.
And you have the opportunity to look at these marvellous creations. Personally, I am under a great impression.
