Social issue photographer Stephen Shames captured these beautiful images of life on the “bad” side of the Bronx, the northernmost of the five boroughs of New York City.
Heterochromia refers to a difference in coloration, usually of the iris but also of hair or skin. It is a result of the relative excess or lack of melanin (a pigment).

These are amazing photographs with views of the Earth from space. They were taken by Russian cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin who spent 163 days in space in 2010 staying aboard the ISS.

The idea to build the first commercial spaceport in the world appeared in 1990s. The perfect location was found in southern New Mexico. The construction of the runway began in 2008. Today this runway is 10,000 feet (3,000 m) long. While the construction of hangars and terminals continues, we can peer inside the future purpose-built commercial spaceport thanks to photos and artist renderings.
