Freddie was walking on a lake in Chingford (Essex, England), but even his weight of a dog was enough to fall through the thin ice. Fortunately, there was a woman nearby who didn’t hesitate and gave him a saving hand.

She was found in a tied trash bag in Transylvania, Romania. Owners condemned her to die an awful death, with her leg broken and maggots assaulting her body with her unable to do anything about it. Fortunately, she was saved in time and rushed to Transylvania Animal Care, where she is perfectly OK now, feeling good and looking gorgeously.

After this poor baby bird fell out of its nest, it almost died. But the vet did a great job taking care of a little birdie and eventually nursed it back to health.

Popeye the dog was found by his future owner Ivy Diep who described him to be “super skinny, heavily matted, dirty." She took him in because nobody wanted him but very quickly she and her husband fell in love with the doggie plus he made friends with her other dogs. Now Ivy takes him to the best pet-friendly restaurants in town almost every day.

Mike Jivanjee rescued a tiny gosling that was drowning in Lake Oswego in Oregon. They have been inseparable since then, but it comes more from the goose that just refuses to leave Mike’s side. Here is their story:

Meet Meatball or simply Meaty, a pit bull mix who was adopted by Lisa Reilly from a no-kill shelter in California. He lives together with her other rescue dogs and can’t stop smiling since his adoption. Check out this cutie!
