This calf was abandoned by its mother and shivering in the flood waters in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in southeast Texas. Tammy and Ren Canton’s home was at full capacity since they had already taken in two families, but they couldn’t just let the cow die outside. So, now Harveigh (new name) lives with the family’s dogs and probably doesn’t even realize she’s not one of them.

Yesterday we showed you some heart-warming then and now photos of abandoned dogs. Today we have a look at some lucky cats.

These two Australian dams were originally used for the breeding turtles but this was not made clear to the new owners of the land who unwittingly drained the dams without knowing that it still contained turtles. They immediately appealed to the nature organization in the area to help save the turtles and although it took two days, over 500 turtles were rescued in the effort.

Andy, a 30-year old horse is seen being rescued by Florida police, after the horse jumped into a local's backyard and landed in their swimming pool.

These images tell a story about an adorable furry white puppy Fiona that was rescued from an uncertain fate, and given a new life.

The story begins with this cute puppy abandoned in a trash and rescued by a woman who fosters dogs that need help. The dog was unfortunately born with a condition commonly named “swimmer puppy disorder.”

It should have been euthanized but thanks to hydrotherapy and lots of love, this dog that could barely move can now walk and almost run like a fine dog.
 

This helpless little wombat named Karmann was rushed to a wildlife shelter, where she spent her next three months in an intensive care unit after being rescued from the pouch of her dying mother, who had been run over in Australia. She is adorable, even without any hair.
