Welcome to Romania. Part 2 (57 pics+1 video)Yesterday's post “Welcome to Romania” has raised a wave of discontent among our visitors from Romania. They wrote angry comments and letters and requests to refute, modify and even remove the post.
We decided not to do so, but simply to explain it. First. We didn’t make this post by choosing a picture by picture aiming to find the “ugliest” photos. We have just republished a very old collection of pictures, which is already more than 2 years old and which has long ago been around the entire internet and was published on every second site. Second. We did not want to offend anyone. Izismile is created for other purposes. Do not take everything so personally. If these photos exist and are all over the internet, it means that they have the right to exist on our website too. Plus, everybody knows that there are bad and good things in each country. But sometimes, it’s better to look at bad things with irony and a smile. Third. This is not the first or the only compilation of this kind. We already have collections about Russia and Africa. Fourth. We have no doubt that Romania is a wonderful and beautiful country with nice and kind people. That is what one of the visitors wrote us. I quote: "I am a big fan of your website...i always check the pics you post every morning before going to work while i drink my coffee. I think they're all amazing. Today when i checked the website i felt really offended because of the pics you posted from Romania. Although they are old and cost you alot like you said, you managed to make me and probably some other Romanian people really sad. The pictures do not reverberate how really Romania is. I hope people who check your website will not get a wrong idea about my country. It's not like the pictures shows. Your thread should have been named gipsies in Romania not welcome to Romania. I'm writing this e-mail in hope that you will find other pics to post there and show the world how beautiful Romania is..You just let some pics with gipsies to speak for themselves about how my country is...It's really wrong and it makes me really angry...Maybe you should take a look at the links below..." Well, for everyone who wants to learn more about Romania, we have gathered the second part of photographs which gives a glimpse of the country from another angle. Look.

The problem with yesterday's pics, as someone pointed out before, is that Romania always gets those kind of jokes although is a beautiful country with very nice people.
Seeing this pictures makes me want to go there again!!!

We are simply taken over by them. :( I currently live in Timisoara, which is a very beautiful city... but guess what? The gypsies buy houses in the centre of the town and the locals buy houses outside the town, to avoid being neighbors to the gypsies! Now, isn't that funny?
Gypsies with the identity card from Romania travel to countries like France, England, Spain, where they steal and harm people. And now the entire Europe is saying that the Romanians are doing that. They are not Romanians, they are Romanian gypsies, born in Romania because the human international laws do not allow our country to kick them out!

I already know that Romania is a beautiful country but when I come on Izismile, it's for saying "OH !!!", "HAH !!!", "WTF", etc... If I want to see pictures of a "beautiful-but-no-extraordinary-thing", I check a travel agency website etc. I think, but I can be completely out of bounds, that it's not Izismile mission to reflect the beautiful aspects of all contry in the world, but instead to show bizarres picts from all around the world.
To make it short, I live in Canada and when I come here, I don't want to see beautiful picts of my prime minister, I prefer the ones when we saw him put a finger in his nose (or anywhere else
So... Don't be too serious and laugh about yourself a little bit more...

1st the racist comment made about gypsies as i am one and to make one racist romanian happy you publish some others pics + the racist email
second i though that was your website not a tourist branch of a romanian website where you have to post only beautiful pics there is always many different face to a country and community good and bad and we all have the right to see it
i dont mind seeing pics of poor gypsies but i dont like racist comment specially when you know what some romanian person do to us burn campsite not allowing us water or electricity etc ......
thats for me but i would much appreciate if you remove the racist comment

I never said Romania was a bad/poor/whatever country, I've been to Romania and I liked it (girls are beautiful too :) ), I just don't understand what is the problem showing weird/funny pictures of the country ??
We (well at least I am) are intelligent enough to not categorize what we see..
I know romanian don't like gypsies and I guess this is why they leave your country to come to France or elsewhere in Europe, it's not cool but it's reality and you should be ashamed to be ashame of people in YOUR country
