You, my friend, are assuming that those firemen were assigned/dispatched to that car fire. They could have been very well assigned to another emergency/incident &, like true professionals, were responding to their original assignment. If they were responding to a different incident/emergency and happened to come upon the car fire, you have no way of knowing from the video if they contacted the dispatcher to let them know there was a car fire at that spot. If so, the dispatcher then would have allocated additional resources to handle it while the emergency vehicle in the video responded to their original assignment. You see, emergencies are unpredictable & the uninitiated tend to think they line up orderly-like & happen one at a time. But the very nature of emergency response is unpredictable. Sometimes there's a lot of down time & sometimes multiple emergencies take place all at once. It's the nature of the job. But thanks for giving us the benefit of the doubt!
