I don't thinks you're right. Because at the end of his last act he does two spins and then catches the blocks and you see the blocks aren't sticking because 2 fall in his right hand and 1 in his left. you see the middle block flying in the air completely surrounded by air. I though do not say its some kind of trickery because the arms look very weird at some points.
